A Stranger in Town!

Look who we saw in town today.  The other side says he lived from 1850-1911. And he made some good stuff during that time!

A Pumpkin Tree!

Minocqua had a fun time for Halloween, including a pumpkin tree! They asked anyone who wanted to bring their carved pumpkins to Torpy Park where they were displayed for all to enjoy. There were some great designs. Sorry you can’t see detail but it was getting dark by the time it was done and I needed to be farther away to get the whole tree.

Happy Halloween!

This is the greatest decorating for Halloween I have ever seen. Saw this house on the way to visit a friend in Mequon, WI. The whole yard was covered with stuff but to get up close and show the fun I only have half of it in the picture but you get the idea of a fun Halloween House!

Don’t you just love the wedding couple??

What is this?

We found these holes on the side of a hill on Booth Lake Road. Look at the claw marks outside the holes.  What animal do you think made these holes and claw marks? Give me some guesses!!!

Bottle Trees

When I put the blog up of the bottles on the pole, one of my customers commented that it was a bottle tree and they have one near them.  Well that was the first I heard of them but much to my surprise the other day I saw them for sale in the yard of a gift store in Mercer!  And they had lots of them! The trees ran $65 – $125 without the bottles although the bottles were all around $2. She had some really beautiful and unusual ones.

Solar Power??

Recently I put up a picture of an out house with a beautiful mural painted on it.  At the turtle Flameau Flowage we found one that is solar powered! Feel sorry for all the fisherman if there are many cloudy days!
