Cardmaking Day

I became a teacher again helping at church to make 200 Christmas cards for the nursing homes.  Here are the ladies who helped us finish up the project.  It all goes fast with so many helpers but is so much fun to do together!

The Man Behind the Scenes!

I went to a social networking for your business seminar the other day. It was put on by our Chamber and the speaker was none other than my website genius! I thought you all might like to see the face behind all the wonderful changes to our website. Meet Bradley Gauthier of Visible North! And thank you Brad for all you have done for us!

Scrapbooking!

Were else would I be during the opening day of fishing but at a scrapbooking convention! A big group of my friends and I spent the whole day in Sayner  having fun making cards and getting great new ideas.  Now just think of the favorite thing you like to do and then get the whole day to do it.  That is how much fun we had today!

Abe Clark

While my granddaughter was visiting she told me about a very interesting person I would like to share with you.  Her teacher (who used to teach in Minocqua!) has a daughter Katie who is engaged to Abe Clark. Abe is running across America to raise money to provide clean water to Haiti. My granddaughter Kate shared his website with me. I looked at it and was so fascinated with his journey and purpose that I wanted to share it with all of you. He started at the Pacific Ocean and you can follow his trail all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.  He has a cart he  pushes along the way that he named Ruby.  If you read his blog you will find out why it’s named Ruby.  His blog is so interesting I hope you all have time to look at the website and enjoy his journey through his blog. The picture was taken from his website which is www.runningwater.cc. You can click on it and go to the website. I hope you enjoy his story as much as I did.

Scrapbooking Retreat

Sorry the blog has been  quiet for a few days, I was gone on a stamping Retreat put on by one of my favorite stores in Rhinelander, Nossers Stamp & Scrap.  And that is all we did morning noon and night for 2 1/2 days.  Papercrafting! Now I know not everyone reading this is excited about that. But just think of the thing you like to do best (fishing, hunting, staying at Booth Lake Landing!) and doing it without interruption for 2 1/2 days! I loved it!! I am in the picture, the yellow sweatshirt in the middle! And yes ladies I did learn some really fun new things for us this summer!

A Day Of Cardmaking!

I was asked to come to church and help our caring committee make some Easter cards. So I packed up my gear and went to church. Much to my surprise there were 13 people there, men and women and most had never stamped! Then I asked how many are me making and was told around 100! Well we got started, made a mess and ended up with almost 100 but sure had a lot of fun and laughs along the way.  These will be given to our local nursing home and the world now has a bunch of new stampers!!!!!
