Tonight Dick and I went to the Rainbow Bar & Grill for a delicious $5.75 half chicken dinner, saw a buck cross the road on the way over, stopped for a fox to cross the road on the way back and came home to a sky full of stars that was incredible. It was too dark to take any pictures of this but it another reason why we love it here!

Snowmobile Club
Nov 9
Tonight Dick and I were at a snowmobile club meeting at a bar south of town called The Y Knot. They had fabulous food for us and we had a great turnout. It is a busy time of year for the club as we are planning all our fundraisers for the winter. We have a lot of fun planned: A brat fest Dec. 31, A breakfast Jan 17, A spaghetti dinner Feb. 14 and the Cruiser Fest for Feb. 14 & 15. So snowmobilers make your plans now and PRAY FOR LOTS OF SNOW!
On another note, I am sorry for a few missed blogs, my computer program wasn’t working and I couldn’t upload pictures, I now have that fixed and of course forgot my camera tonight. But hopefully the snow will come and I will have some more beautiful pictures to share.
Yesterday was spent doing my favorite past time, crafting. I went to a convention with my 8 year old Granddaughter Lizzie and had just a great time. I have some fun new ideas in mind for ladies crafting next summer too. Tonight I met 8 of our friends from the 3rd week of July at the resort for dinner in Mequon. We had a great dinner at the Highland House along with some great laughs. Thanks everyone for a great evening.
Diary of a Vacation Day 3
Oct 24
Today was a special day as I was able to watch my oldest Grandson Colton play football. It was very cold, very windy but he played wonderful. He made 7 tackles including one quarterback sack! He played his best game ever for Grandma! In Minocuqa there are rumors there was 3 inches of snow today so leaves have to be done!
Diary of a Vacation Day 2
Oct 23
Today was Grandparents day at my granddaughter Lizzie’s school. I had a very fun afternoon listening to all the music, seeing her classroom and meeting her teacher.
In the evening we met my brother and his family for a fish fry, the best thing about being in Wisconsin although the fish from Booth Lake are always the best tasting!
And in Minocqua Dick is still busy raking leaves!
Diary Of A Vacation
Oct 22
Now this is not going to be the fun kind of vacation that everyone has at Booth Lake Landing. But a very different kind of vacation that I get. Many people ask us all summer where we go for vacation and I always say to visit my grandkids so I will share a bit of what I will be doing in the Milwaukee area and try and let you know also what is happening while I am away. Today I did some shopping – always fun! And being from Milwaukee there are favorite places to visit. Like Kopps Custard for lunch. And believe me you have never had good custard till you have had Kopps! Then we spent 3 hours standing in the rain so the grandkids could get the free H1N1 shot. And in Minocuqa I believe there was more raking of leaves!
