More Deer!!!

Today as I came down the hill from my house and turned this deer was standing right in front of me. We startled each other I am sure. Well I took out the camera and still got a nice picture of her as she scooted away. Then I turned and looked to my right and there was her baby, spots and all so close I didn’t even use the telephoto lens. I think that is the closest I have ever been to a deer. It was Awesome!!

These deer were not fazed by us at all as we stopped along Hwy 70 to take their picture! It’s that time of the year we start seeing them all over the sides of the roads.
We were leaving to go to town around noon and look what ran across the driveway, then stopped to see what we were doing!

Now I know this isn’t a really big deer or a buck but it was standing right in the driveway looking at me for about 5 minutes! So deer hunters this is just a taste of what you will see, start making plans now!
Mother Deer Resting

This deer was resting by a woodpile away from the sun. We spotted her on a walk down our new walking path in the resort. She looked at us for the longest time then finally stood up and quietly left. She was back again today so I guess she likes that spot and will probably been seen there all summer.
