Today our snowmobile club had a fundraiser breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants – Moose Jaw. Over 100 people came for breakfast which was fantastic as always. It was a fun time for everyone! Thank you to Moose Jaw for holding this event for us!

This month a new Bakery called the Whistle Stop opened in the Mini Mall next to Walmart! And they even have a drive through! Many of our customers loved the Bakers House which had to close because the owners father needed her care. That left a lot of sad people who loved their bakery. So we are glad to welcome the Whistle Stop - they sent samples to our Planning Commission meeting and I assure you everyone is going to love it!
Dick and I were invited to a private party to see the new restaurant in town.
Anyone guess what kind of restaurant it is?

While we were riding around the other night we saw how
beautiful the Lake of the Torches Casino was decorated.
It was even more spectacular than the picture!

While we were in Boulder Junction last night for dinner we took a ride downtown. They were having their first Christmas Celebration with live music, sleigh rides and beautifully decorated stores. And of course we had to do some shopping!
Dick’s cousin Michael and wife Marianne were up for the thanksgiving holiday. We decided to take them to a fun place they had never been too. So we went to the Headwaters Restaurant for a Friday Fish Fry. The food was very good as always and we had a great time. It was a big night in Boulder Junction so the restaurant was busy but we still had great service. It was the start of a fun evening together!

Over the weekend we went to a new place to eat that was really fun. The resort and restaurant over 45 years old. There is no menu, just one thing is served each night. This night they had a sea food buffet with walleye, shrimp & cod. Plus a great salad bar and dessert – homemade donuts. The building has a lot of old time charm and the food was delicious. It was a long drive but a fun evening and well worth going to.

Tonight Dick and I went to the Rainbow Bar & Grill for a delicious $5.75 half chicken dinner, saw a buck cross the road on the way over, stopped for a fox to cross the road on the way back and came home to a sky full of stars that was incredible. It was too dark to take any pictures of this but it another reason why we love it here!
