We had our snowmobile meeting at a fun place tonight. Lake Placid Inn! They are just down the Highway on County Road F and serve great food, including a wonderful breakfast. A great place to stop when you are up here!
Denise the owner even made special cupcakes for the club tonight!

One of our and everyone’s favorite places to eat in Minocqua is Norwood Pines. Not only is the food so good but the atmosphere is always so wonderful. They decorate their archways for all the seasons so tonight I am sharing a winter picture of Norwood Pines. (I don’t know who the guy is! )

We have some dear friends who try and celebrate my Birthday with us every year who came over today and we all went to a favorite special place – The White Stag. Their specialty is smoked pork chops with a seasoned cherry sauce, soooo good. Everyone else had steak which is all cooked on an open fire pit. It was a fantastic dinner with great friends!

We have a very fun new place in town called Divano’s, a Wine (Beer & Martini) & Hor d’oeuvre Bar. It is on the upper level of the Minocqua Brewery Building right down town. It has been completely remodeled and is beautiful inside.

As most of you know I am on the Town Board of Minocqua. Well last night we had one of the toughest decisions I have had to make. We had a liquor license to give out and 2 businesses that wanted it. One is The Vine – a wine and beer lounge that was a wonderful addition to town 2 years ago. The other was a Mexican restaurant that would like to come to town in the vacant County Kitchen Building. The decision boiled down to helping an existing business or bring in a new one that will use local people to remodel the building and hire between 12-20 people and fill an empty building. It was an unanimous decision for the Mexican Restaurant which will be a nice addition to town. And we will still have a great place with the Vine Lounge. I hope everyone will enjoy them both this summer!!

Nothing says Minocqua more than Bosacki’s! Every where you go if you say you are from Minocqua someone will mention Bosacki’s. I don’t know what is going to happen there yet but there will be an auction on Feb. 12th. I will keep you posted!

Dick and I went to a snowmobile club meeting last night at a favorite restaurant – Lake Place Inn. They have a great breakfast there, good fish fry and all around good food. And as all restaurants they were decorated very festive.
When I put up the picture of Mc Donalds I said there was going to be another new restaurant, and this is it! Burger King bought the Hardee’s building which has been empty for over a year, completely remodeled it and officially opened Dec. 30. And keep watching because there is yet another new one coming by summer! Lots of changes in Minocqua!
Yes Musky Jim guessed right, it is a Mc Donald’s. The old building was completely torn down and a new one put up and it is a beautiful building inside and out. And I got to meet Ronald himself! It was a fun party!
Dick and I were invited to a private party to see the new restaurant in town.
Anyone guess what kind of restaurant it is?
