The best thing about Booth Lake Landing Resort is making Best Friends! Here is a picture of my granddaughters Lizzie and Kate with Emma. Kate has been coming the same week as Emma since they were each 3 & 4 and have been best friends ever since. And this year Lizzie was a nice addition to the friendship. They were busy on a rainy day doing girl things and having fun.

Neil has swam across Booth Lake every year for the last 12 years he has stayed here. For the last couple years another customer John has joined him. And Dick follows in a boat to make sure everyone is safe. Here are some picture of this years swim.

What do you do on a hot hot day? Play on the lake or go cardmaking! That is what our good customer and friend Cathy and I did today. We took a 12 card class at The Paper Studio, stayed cool, had lots of fun and ended up with 12 cards!!! And then we had lunch at a favorite spot Polecat and Lace. My favorite way to spend a hot day!!!!
Many of you saw the blog post about a long time customer Jay Armstrong who passed away from a heart attack at age 47 last Feb. His family came to spend another week with us last week. While they were here we planted a tree at the resort in memory of Jay. All the kids in the resort helped dig the hole and paint a rock in rememberance.

Many of you have read comments on the blog by FishAddict Rick and many of you saw my facebook entry about his brain tumor so I am updating you on Rick. He had some surgery and now will have some treatment but took time out in between to come to Booth Lake Landing for some R&R. We had a good week with him here but I think what he enjoyed most was fishing with his son. So I took a picture of them both so everyone could see how good he was doing. So happy for Rick and family and glad they were able to relax here.

For one week every summer while our friend Bill is here we see him almost every day down by the lake painting. Everyone stops and visits and watches and sees a beautiful picture by the end of the week.

This is a craft I have been doing with the older kids here for many years. The kids work on key chains while here but also love to start some to take and do on the ride home. These girls worked on at least one every day and ended up with all these key chains plus 4 each to do on the way home. I have some new colors this year and they made some really pretty and colorful key chains.
